Biography
Susan Daudelin has practiced almost exclusively in family law since beginning private practice in 1998. Susan has handled cases of all sizes on issues of divorce, custody, child support, spousal maintenance, property valuation and division, nonmarital claims and the validity of prenuptial agreements. She is experienced in paternity, grandparent/third party custody and visitation cases. Susan has a proven track record of assisting clients in settling cases through mediation but stands ready to zealously advocate for her clients in court.
Representative Experience
Susan has extensive experience in Minnesota’s state appellate courts,
and has gained a solid reputation for her strength in handling cases at
the Minnesota Court of Appeals and at the Minnesota Supreme Court. Susan
argued and prevailed at the Minnesota Supreme Court in Witso v.
Overby, in which the Court affirmed a putative father’s standing to
compel genetic testing. Susan also assisted in writing an amicus brief
submitted on behalf of the Family Law Section of the Minnesota State Bar
Association in Peterka v. Dennis, a case in which the Minnesota
Supreme Court determined that court-appointed neutrals are entitled to
immunity.
Susan has served as secretary, program co-chair and committee co-chair
for the Family Law Section of the Hennepin County Bar Association. She
is a member of the Family Law and Appellate Practice Sections of the
Minnesota State Bar Association. Susan has served on the Fourth District
Bar Association Ethics Committee, and has provided pro bono
legal services through Tubman Chrysalis Center and through the MSBA
Appellate Practice Section.
