Biography

Mychal A. Bruggeman is an associate in the Commercial Litigation, Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights, and Real Estate Law & Litigation practice groups. He has experience in successfully managing and litigating disputes involving: participation lending, corporate fraud, real estate, title insurance, mechanic’s liens, unfair and deceptive trade practices, consumer fraud, and other commercial contract disputes.

Mr. Bruggeman also maintains a commercial creditors’ remedies practice which includes assisting commercial creditors in maximizing their recovery under state law collection procedures, and protecting creditors’ interests in bankruptcy proceedings. He augments his knowledge of creditors’ remedies and bankruptcy procedures by routinely representing a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustee.

Mr. Bruggeman frequently writes about new developments in bankruptcy and creditors’ remedies law for Minnesota State Bar publications and for Mackall, Crounse & Moore’s monthly electronic publication, Creditors’ Corner. He is also a member on the planning committee for the Minnesota Chapter of the Risk Management Association’s Young Professional Group.

Mr. Bruggeman graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, summa cum laude, and received his law degree from the University of Minnesota, magna cum laude. Prior to joining Mackall, Crounse & Moore, PLC, he worked as a litigation attorney for the United States Department of Justice – Civil Tax Division in Washington, D.C. He is originally a native of Minnetonka, Minnesota and is a member of the Excelsior Covenant Church.
